October 21, 2023 While excavating the foundation, we hit rock ledges only a couple of feet down. We were not down far enough to build a crawl space and keep to the desired building elevation (the elevation is critical because of the handicap access ramp). This meant that we had to blast. Here you see the blasting company inserting the charges for the first of three blasts they eventually performed.
