The Slump Test

November 4, 2022 Each truck of concrete had a "slump" test performed. This is done by filling the cone with concrete and then removing the cone to see how far down the concrete "slumps". If it slumps too far, the mixture is too wet. If it does not slump far enough, it is too dry. See the next picture for an example of a good slump test.
