3My baby loved the octopus but the battery died!, Apr 15, 2023
This looked great from the outside of the box but...after bringing it home & assembling it, I thought it was a bit of a let down. (Now I know why it was less expensive than the other play gyms.) Although, I will say, my 3 month old loved the octopus that plays music & has a ball that turns. He would laugh & smile at it constantly! The only problem is that now that the battery has died, it is not entertaining to him anymore. The battery died after only 1 month! I will still save it & turn it into the crawl tunnel to use when he is older, so it wasnt a total loss.
Also, my baby wasnt long enough to be able to kick the ball with the rattling balls so I switched it around & put the ball up by his head, next to the octopus. Between the octopus & the ball, it would keep my baby's attention for half hour at a time!
I am VERY disappointed that Fisher Price did not have a replaceable battery (like AAA or AA) for the octopus.

1Don't waste your money. , Apr 8, 2023
I was so excited to buy this toy after my daughter was born. Then we got it home and put it together and realized it was awfully cute to look at but that was about it. My daughter truly had no use for it.

My daughter loves this toy. She really started on it when she was about 3 months old and could reach for the toys. The hanging toys have pieces that fit nicely in her hand that she can chew on and take off to play with seperately. The mat has the "porthole" that now fascinates her as she discovers new texture or if someone puts something underneath that she can see. Now that she sits up, she fits nicely between the two arches. Once she starts to crawl, we still have another stage for the toy to go through. Ther colors are great and it is easily machine washable. As an added bonus, my 4 year old son uses the ball as a punching bag sometimes or swings on the arches like parallel bars and it isn't any worse for the wear. My only issue is that the octopus didn't play music when I got it.

5Great toy for developing gross motor skills, Apr 4, 2023
My son loves this toy! The inflatable ball filled with bells jingles when he kicks it and he just giggles! This is a wonderful product, one of his favorite toys!
