Fun but Exhausting in my matters. The Sims 2 is the first entirely-new generation of The Sims, the ground-breaking game that allowed players to create and control people. The Sims 2 challenges you to direct the journey of your Sims' lives as they grow from infancy through childhood, teenage life and adulthood. Starting with a personality that you give them (or that they inherit from their parents), your Sims will develop in unique ways based on your choices and influence. Have Questions? Read The Sims 2 FAQ What are The Sims 2 Minimum System Specs? As they progress through life, your Sims will collect memories which shape who they are, what options they have and how they behave. These experiences can have a short or long-term effect on relationships between family members and friends. Experiences between Sims when they are children can affect their relationships as teens and adults. Your Sims can have casual friendships or make life-long enemies. Your Sims live in a realistic and vivid 3-D world of your own creation. When you build their homes, you'll have new options that will allow you to create decks, attics, and build on hillsides. You'll be able to choose from hundreds of new objects, many of which can be customized from within the game. And once you've built the perfect home, you'll be able to zoom in close to see every detail of Sim life, from the food in the refrigerator to the expression of moods and feelings on your Sims' faces. Rounding out the experience, The Sims 2 delivers dozens of features requested from fans over the past four years. A new "Create-A-Sim" feature will allow you to easily make unique and detailed character faces with a variety of hair styles, facial hair, make-up and accessories. You'll also be able to choose from a wide selection of casual, formal, cool and crazy clothing styles. And carrying on the tradition of giving players the ability to customize their game, The Sims 2 is designed to allow players to easily integrate content created by players outside the game. Prepare to experience the wild ride of life through the eyes of your Sims in 2004. Being a Substitute in Maxis I Have played the Game while Luc was sick, I actually Digitally Programmed the 3D in the game. I was very happy when I played the game to actually find it worked, I also tryed programming something extra. But It failed, It was suppose to be rain. But you know its stupid because It went through the house also so I'm back to the drawing table. If you want more you can go to www.thesims2.com or if you want info on the first sims go to www.thesimsea.com -THANK YOU most likely 5x plus better than the original Just by glancing at a few screen shots it is obvious that the sims 2 is better than the original. Let's compair.... first off, you can pretty much customize everything about your sim. Hair color, hair style, eye shape, eye color, skin color, age, seperate articles of clothing... the list goes on. A definite step up from the old "choose a body, choose a head" Now features can finally be placed along diagonal walls, and from what I understand houses can be three stories instead of the old two (they can't be unlimited like someone else said) Instead of having to make hundreds of the same object in different colors, you can now change the color/ pattern of an object with the click of a button. Genetics are another great plus. Instead of in the old game where basically the only inheritance was skin color, sims now take on the characteristics of their parents in a truly realistic manner. Sims also have wants and fears, based on what kind of sim they are... sims can be customized to be romance sims, fortune sims, family sims, ect.. Sculpting your sims personality will be quite interesting. and finally, what people have been wanting for quite a while... different life stages! Instead of the boring "child or adult" options, sims go from baby ot todler, todler to kid, kid to teen, teen to adult, and adult to elderly, and elderly to the graveyard. The feature can be turned off in individual houses if you want your sims to stay where they are. And when a woman gets pregnant her belly will actually get more rounded instead of the baby just popping up out of no where. there is way too much more great stuff in the game to mention it all here, so for more info just go to the website. Disapointed When i first heard that the sims 2 was coming out i was exited. I ran to the store the day it came out and purchased it. As soon as i arrived home i downloaded it onto my computer and from what i could see it was looking good.. I finally get the game to go on and it takes forever!! Making a family, Creating a house.. all of these features take forever..i found myself getting mad at the fact that it took about and hour to switch characters in the game.. The fact that mad me mad was that i just purchased a new computer so that couldn't be the problem..so it looks like i have to purchase a alienware desktop to finally enjoy this game the way it was meant to be played.. Simply put the system requirements in my opinion are ridiculous! and i am left with a 50 dollar game in my hands that i cant play until i purchase a 2,000 dollar computer. |
