 SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
As an old Tina Turner song once said, Clay Aiken is "simply the best....better than all the rest." If you need proof that my statement is true, just go buy this CD and listen to the song "Solitaire." After you've heard that song, and especially the last minute or so of the song that begins with the breathtaking 15 second "glory note," I dare you to disagree with me! And if, for some unimaginable reason, hearing "Solitaire" isn't enough to convince you, go buy his full-length CD, "Measure of a Man." I'm telling you the truth - you won't find a bad song on that entire CD! They are all GREAT! Clay has this amazing ability to give me chills and bring a smile to my face every time I hear his incredible voice. And not only does he have an awesome voice, but he is such a caring and sweet person. Clay is the kind of artist we need to spend our money to support. So get out there and start buying his stuff!! I LOVE YOU CLAY!!!!
Solitaire -- a gift from Clay to his fans
Because I had already purchased Measure of a Man, and counted The Way as one of my favourite tracks, my reason for buying this CD was really Solitaire, the so-called B-side of the release. As a Clay Aiken fan, I had eagerly anticipated this release, after hearing the version he sang last year on AI, and knew that he was responding to our clamouring for a full-length version. I was not disappointed -- on first listen, it took my breath away and brought me to tears! The loneliness, the longing, the vulnerability, the slow build-up to those final, soaring notes that express the agony of a love lost -- masterful! Neil Sedaka was right when he said it would forever be a Clay Aiken song! Thank you, Clay, for giving your fans what they wanted. I hope you will listen to this CD, and that radio stations will have the courage to start playing it, so we can all enjoy the glorious voice of America's newest superstar! MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!
This is the only place to buy 'Solitaire' and it is the most emotional, wonderful song you will ever hear. 'The Way' is a great love song. Combined, this has got to be one of the best singles ever produced. Two great hits. |
