Product Description
Babies cant scuba dive, but heres the next best thing. This entertaining ocean-themed swing is sure to delight babies and possibly give parents a little bit of a breather. Its done up in a blue bubbly design that manages to be both soothing and festive and, yes, that combination is exactly what you want in a swing. But while the aquatic angle is fun, whats really impressive about this swing is its variety: it features eight swing levels, five volume settings on various musical or nature sounds, and even a light display. A toy bar with little fishes rounds out the ensemble. Overall, this swing is a great way for baby to stay occupied without getting wet. --John Moe

My baby loves this swing! Our daughter loved this swing from three weeks of age. The cradle motion is her all time favorite. We did have to let a blanket drape and graze the floor to slow the motion until she was about six weeks old because even the lowest setting was making her startle. Likewise the mobile and lighted dome were useless until about this age. The only complaint I have about the swing is that the mobile/music/domelight shut off after 10-15 minutes and if I don't run over to reset them the trancelike state of our daughter is Broken with a capitol B. I have seen swings with remotes and feel Fisher Price should definetly consider this on future models or consider extending the length of the features. I would definetly say this is a great swing though, my mother has a Graco that moves back and forth and she will only stay in it for about 15-20 minutes, given the chance she would stay in her aquarium swing for hours. The BEST purchase I made for my baby!! We bought this swing about 7 weeks before my due date. Well 2 weeks later my preemie son arrived. From the time he was about 2 weeks old this swing has been a lifesaver!! At first I thought there was something wrong w/the motor & made my husband call Fisher Price. The lady had him hold the running swing up to the phone & she said the swings motor is made to reproduce the sounds of the mothers heartbeat & what the baby hears inside mom. So that explains the motor noise. You would think they would put that on the package as I can attest it actually does calm our baby.I must say my son absolutely LOVES this swing & I don't know what we would have done without it!! When we finally brought him home from the NICU the motor noise & music would always calm him. He is now 14 weeks old & his favorite place to be is this swing. It works great when he gets a little overstimulated w/play or attention. He will smile, coo & visibly calm down as soon as he is placed in it. Now that he is more alert he loves staring at the fish mobile & in the evening watching the globe light up. In 14 weeks we have gone through about 5 sets of batteries, but the swing gets used alot.I agree when our son was small (5lb) the first swing setting was too fast & we would just push it. Now that he is 16lb. it is just perfect. In all, I would recommend any parent run out & get this.... you WON'T regret it! Its worth every penny & the best purchase I made... and I bought ALOT of stuff! Diapers, Wipes & THIS SWING!!! I LOVED this swing!!! I can't say enough good things about it. I was able to use it from the very first week after my little boy was born. It has 2 positions and the reclining position is perfect for newborns. He was less than 7 pounds, but he got used to it and loved it. I think one key was to start him out early in it. My daughter didnt get a swing until she was older and NEVER liked one. AS A NEWBORN, I USED THE SIDE TO SIDE SWINGING MOTION AND HE WOULD SLEEP IN IT EVEN WHEN HE WAS CRANKY OR FUSSY. The music and the mobile was so soothing for him. IF I COULD ONLY CHOOSE 3 THINGS FOR MY BABY, I WOULD CHOOSE DIAPERS, WIPES AND THIS SWING!!!! It was pricey, but it was worth it. He was able to use it until he started crawling and he didnt want to sit in it anymore. |
