The toy bar is powered by four D batteries (not included) and can be easily removed from the bouncer for a more basic set up.  So Good this is my First Product Review
I am able to compare bouncers because we use a different bouncer at my mom's house and we use this Ocean Wonders at our house. The Ocean Wonders is so much better and my son loves it as well. First of all, it is better for newborns who can't hold up their head because of the angle of the seat. It's reclined back enough so the baby's head isn't falling over to the side. The other bouncer we had to prop his head up or we didn't use it hardly at all because he was too upright to sleep comfortably. He started smiling at about 2 1/2 weeks old. Our baby not only smiles at the lights, fish and bubbles, he almost starts to laugh! It's such a great feeling to see your baby's happy reaction to the aquarium. He even coos when the bubbles/music stop automatically so that you know he wants more. Lastly, everytime the baby's in the seat, he looks at the aquarium like he's never seen it before. I feel this product is good for baby's development.
Truly Love It!
I'll hate to see the day when he will outgrow this bouncer. My 2 1/2 month old loves to bounce around this bouncer for atleast up to 30 minutes and talk to the fish. As a matter of fact, he is in it right now sleeping, while I am writing this review. The music is soothing, as with the whole Ocean Wonders line (we have the Cradle swing, the Crib Aquarium also). We also owned the Ocean Wonders Take Along swing, but returned it because it was defective. But all in all, the whole Ocean Wonders line is great! My son is soothed by each and every one of the products that we have! This bouncer is especially great for babies who are not too mobile and can only look and still don't have the hand-eye coordination. They can stare at the fish and bubbles as they move about. I'm pretty sure he will still enjoy this bouncer for a few more months to come, as he gets older. SAFETY HAZARD HAS BEEN FIXED
For those of you who gave this item 1 star because of the unsafe velcro seat attachment, it has been fixed and now a sturdy latching belt straps the seat on tightly. My 2-month old daughter LOVES this bouncer and cannot get enough of it. She already knows that in order to turn it on (in baby mode) she has to do some wiggling and she squeals and coos and smiles when she gets her rewards! The first day we put her in the bouncer, she sat in it for nearly 45 minutes and would not take her eyes of the spinning starfish and the kissy fish. What a fun toy! My only complaint, as with the Fisher-Price Kick and Play, is that the dangling toys are too hard! They should really make these things with soft, detachable toys. That's it! |
