With LeapFrog’s Pretend and Learn Shopping Cart children can have fun and learn while grocery shopping. This interactive shopping cart encourages open-ended, imaginative play and introduces fundamental math skills to preschoolers. Play begins with the easy-to-use scanner attached to the basket. Start by selecting one of three learning modes: Explore, Learn, or Shopping Games. Buddy Tad will start the fun by asking what items need to be scanned. As a child picks and scans the items, Tad will encourage and help them along with fun songs and clues. Kids can learn about colors, food groups, quantities, counting, and healthy facts about food. As with all LeapFrog products, children will develop language skills, reasoning skills, exploration and creativity, cognitive development, and gross motor skills. If quiet play is desired simply switch the cart to the Off position and let your child explore and learn on their own. The shopping cart requires minimal assembly and is made of durable plastic with smooth, rounded corners for small hands to grab easily. It measures 22 inches high and stands sturdily on the wide base and four solid wheels. Requires three AA batteries (not included).

4Great little cart, Apr 19, 2023
The buggy could be a bit bigger. There's not a lot of room for any extras. Most of the time my 2 year old takes the groceries out, and puts her dolls in there. As she gets older & realizes the "game" part, I'm sure it will be more fun. I'd recommended for the 3 & over crowd.

4Good toy - too expensive for what you get tho!, Jan 27, 2023
My 15 month old daughter really loses interest in this toy rather quickly. It's well made and seems to be very sturdy so I don't worry about her or it falling over when she pushes it but the basket is pretty small so she can't really put too much inside of it - other than the play grocery items that came with it. She is just now starting to enjoy scanning the groceries which she finds amusing even tho she doesn't understand what the voice is saying to her. (a little mumbled when it goes into detail about how a cow's milk is white and a goat's milk is pink... for example) A nice touch to the toy is that the scanner will beep when it touches ANYTHING so she can play with other grocery items as well as the ones that came with the toy. That makes it a little more fun. The toy also shuts off after about a minute of no-play. If I had to do it over again, I would still probably buy this for my daughter but I would wait until she was closer to 2 years old.

1Broke in a week!, Dec 10, 2022
I bought this for my 2 year old to help her learn her #'s. It was so pretty and sturdy but broke in a week! My daughter was playing like normal and then all of a sudden it made weird noises like repetetive and no matter if I changed the batteries it would not fix it. It was very expensive and Id wish I could fix it but I have lost hope for it.

5No complaints whatsoever!, Nov 21, 2022
I bought this cart over a year and a half ago for my daughter. she needed a toy to pull up on and walk with, and I didn't want to spend the money on one that she would outgrow in a few months. We decided to spring for the leapfrog shopping cart, and we couldn't be happier. Another reviewer mentioned that it wasn't stable enough for small babies learning to walk. we never had any problems with it tipping. I've also seen many reviews that it eats batteries, and I'm not sure what your doing with it to make that so. My daughter plays with hers a lot, along with every other kid that comes over between the ages of 1 and 10. I don't check to see that it's turned off everytime it's played with, and I'm still on the same batteries I put in it when we bought it almost 2 years ago. I was just telling someone today how impressed I was with the battery life. Also, the Tad figure has never once come off of ours, so I'm not sure why there have been so many problems with that reflected here. Educational value is good for kids 1-4 as it has different levels of activity. The volume is also very pleasant on the low setting. My daughter turned hers up and down a few times, but overall it hasn't been a problem. When I say the volume isn't a problem you better believe it isn't, because I detest noise. We have a very quiet household, and I don't allow my kids to play with anything too loud unless it's in thier rooms with the door shut! We just had the shopping cart out in the living room the other day, and it didn't bother me at all. See my review on the learn with music toy and you will see how much I despise anything loud! This is a great toy that we've really gotten our money's worth out of, so don't hesitate to buy it!
