5A necessary evil for every medical practice, Jun 15, 2023
I knew going into this book that we had to do something to prepare our practice for Y2K but thought that the majority of problems were isolated to our internal systems. After reading through this manual, my eyes were opened to the real problems that we face. Sure, our own computers and systems still need to be tested but it is our ability to respond to issues that develop with outside dependecies that will make the difference between success and failure next year. I never considered many of the ideas or solutions that are offered in this book. I am grateful for reading it and feel much more confident in our ability to move ahead. This is not a technical manual but rather a common sense business approach to an unavoidable problem.

5The only book to address the real problem in the practice, May 24, 2023
My initial thought when I bought the book was this was going to be another `big picture' view of the whole crisis. I was wrong, and glad I was. This is not a book, but rather a complete operational manual for getting to the heart of the solution, not the problem. It addresses areas that I never considered, such as the infra-structural and operational component of the practice. I really thought that since we had our computers Y2K ready, our practice was ready, too. This was far from the truth and I am grateful I found out the facts and the solutions before I put the whole issue to bed. I highly recommend this `manual' for every medical practice. I learned two very important points that every practice should realize. First, no medical practice will be free of the possible problems and second, lack of proper preparation is the only disaster waiting to happen.
