Well Worth the price!!!, May 1, 2023 I am a casual photographer. I only take photos for fun and for memories sake so I was concerned that this book would be way over my head, but it wasn't. I found this book to be easy to read and to follow. I have never used Photoshop before, but I found myself editting my photos correctly the first time using this book. I have pictures from years ago that I counted as being ruined that I was able to restore within a few hours. If you buy the Photo Elements Software and you are like me the casual user, I would highly recommend buying this book. Its well worth the price.

THIS is definitely the book to buy, Mar 18, 2023 I got Photoshop Elements 3 along with a book and fumbled around in a frustrated fashion for about a month. Then I went on a cruise where they offered 4 classes. I took them and someone recommended Scott Kelby's book. When I got home I ordered it from Amazon - it arrived 2 days later and now I'm really on a roll. I've organized my photos, renamed them so they make sense, made digital backups that I can understand and burned CD's that play on the DVD player. All this in less than a week! There are pictures of the screen so you can find exactly what is described in the text. The book is written so you don't have to be a techie to understand it! I'm ready to go further with improving my photos but so far, just the organization is paying off big time. Get this book. You'll be glad you did! Penny

excellent, Feb 24, 2023 Most tech type manuals are boring and dry! That can't be said for this book. There is lots of humour to start each chapter and then you get to the serious learning. Full colour pictures and step by step "how to" instructions lead you through the process of working with Photoshop elements 3. I enjoyed this book so much at as soon as I finished it I ordered Scott Kelby's "Down and Dirty Tricks for elements 3. I was worried that I might get a repeat of what I just learned, but it's all new stuff so well worth the investment.

Outstanding, Feb 9, 2023 I purchased this book and the effort put forth by the adobe team (The "photoshop Elements 3.0 workbook"). This was an impulse decision to purchase the adobe book, I planned on purchasing Scott Kelby's book only. In comparision, Adobe should have hired Scott to write their book. Adobe's book was very poorly written. It reminded me of horribly written classroom books with hideous examples. I know it is a classroom book, but its one that should never enter a class room. Scotts book is fabulous. Written in a very engaing manor. He lays out all the important elements to learn with this software and mixes some humor in there as well. I feel the need to mention the following fact, this is one Adobe apparently failed to consider: Scott Kelby uses interesting examples laid out in steps that are very conducive to learning! Hands down great book, no, no, Hands down the Book for Elements, period. I'll give you the option, purchase "The Photoshop Elements 3 Book for Digital Photograpers" by Scoot Kelby for a very interesting and informative learning tool, one that you will continue to use over and over again as a reference or buy Adobe's book, for a very dry written, mundane headache you will not even finish reading.
