I'm always searching for a better all-around trainer and running shoe than the 991, but haven't yet found one. I have high arches, a high instep, and supinate slightly with the left foot and pronate with the right. What to do? I settle for the only lightweight trainer that fits me comfortably and is easy to find. The Adidas Supernova line also fits me well, and I've gone through a lot of Asics. But for all-around comfort, running ease, and subdued style the 991 is unbeatable.

I have had my 991's for a long time. They're great for running- good support yet very comfortable. I don't think I'll ever buy a different running shoe!

I needed extra cushioning/support in a running shoe and I sure got it! The sneakers are a nice gray color, and the reflective strips are excellent. I don't think they're made for trails. However, they are more than suitable for pavement running or power walking. Or, if you are looking for a comfy shoe just to run errands- these are wonderful too. Beware: These run small; I had to trade in size 10s for 11s.
