 Complete waste of money...., Aug 20, 2023
I agree with the previous review. The fit in the ears is difficult at best. I finally just took off the outer earbud piece and stick the raw speaker in my ears. Now the volume in the left ear is almost gone after less than 3 months, and when I called Apple Support they tell me it is not covered since my IPOD is 10 days out of warranty. The fact that I bought these less than 3 months ago, separate from my IPOD made no difference to them. The claim on their website "All Apple hardware products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship." is absolutely false in this case.
You can be sure I will switch brands for my next set.

Can I somehow give it less than 1?, Aug 17, 2023
1.) Design is bad. Once you've mastered the art of ear bud placement
and the contortionist's moves required, you've thrown your back out.
You shouldn't need to "aerobicize" to put on headphones, sorry.
2.) Sound is okay. Nothing a cheaper and more "wearable" earphone couldn't beat.
3.) Like a few of my other reviewers, the left bud dropped to
50% volume first, and as of today has dropped to 20%.
I've tried switching left with right, and no doubt it is the buds.
Of course, it could just be that my ears are poorly designed.
I'll make sure and return them as well.
Too bad that a great system like the IPod can't come up with a better product than this.

I mean seriously I have tried a few different headphones and these have blown me away. I would only say there is one con and it is minor. The design of the plug in cord is straight so after time, wrapping the headphones around the mp3 player constantly will cause the straight-in design adapter to have some wear. My friend with the same headphones has had to place a piece of tape around his. You just have to be careful not to put to much pressure on the cord. But besides that they are awesome! The fit and sound is amazing. I also have owned the cheaper Sony Fontopia headphones that these headphones are similar and i think compatred to by amazon- and believe me, the extra 15 or 20 bucks is so worth it.

Proper insert : Good bass, good treble, blocks external noise.
Bad insert : No bass, VERY HIGH TREBLE!
I find this product has better sound quality than any other earphones, that is if you insert it correctly.
On the other hand however, is it just me or the fact that when you slightly come in contact with the cord (ie: walking, jogging), you add more unnecessary fake-bass and even hear the sound of your biting when you have your meal. I find it rather uncomfortable and annoying.

I was ready to return these 3 minutes after I first tried them because of the horrible sound (too much treble and no bass at all) and the fact that they would not stay in my ears.
Then I did a little research, found Stephen's instructions on how to insert them into my ears properly, and was amazed at the difference. They stay in just fine and the sound is amazing...there is even plenty of bass!
I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the instructions that came with them should address this issue. I shouldn't have to go to a 3rd party website and read customer reviews just to find out the proper way to fit them into my ears.
