Editorial Reviews:
Editorial Review This thoughtfully designed Sounds 'n' Lights Monitor provides two distinct advantages over the traditional single-receiver monitor: it comes with two receivers so parents and caretakers can listen in on baby from more than one location in the house at the same time, and the variable light displays on both receivers make it possible for you to monitor the noise coming from baby's room visually, without actually hearing it. Along with a power-indicator light, the monitor is equipped with two separate channels and both receivers can be powered by the included AC adaptors, or 9-volt batteries when you want to move the receivers away from an electrical outlet. The Sounds 'n' Lights Monitor comes with a one-year limited warranty and three AC adaptors, but you will have to purchase the two 9-volt batteries separately if you plan on using the receivers away from an outlet. --Chris Burns |

Very Good Monitor for Price, Jun 30, 2023 I love this monitor. The dual receivers are great for a multiple level home. I have never had problems with the noise except in outlets that make everything hum (sometimes the problem is within the electrical of your home, not the monitor itself.) In response to the poor reviews, I think the product must have been defective and it is a shame she couldn't take it back. We have left ours on 24/7 since my 20 month old was born and never had a problem. I also loved that I could hear my daughter breathing when SIDS was an issue I was concerned about. Also, just make sure the monitor and the receivers are on the same channel or else you won't hear anything.

VERY Sensitive, Apr 27, 2023 This monitor is great - I can hear my daughter BREATHING through it. But it does tend to get a static-like hum, which is kind of annoying.I am not crazy about the lights - when I am trying to fall sleep, they flash for even the slightest sound, which is also a bit annoying. They're good monitors, though - I'd still recommend them! It's great to be able to have one in the bedroom and one downstairs!

A great monitor, Apr 27, 2023 This is an excellent monitor. I love the dual receivers and the light up function. If I am in the shower or in another situation where noise is involved, I don't have to worry about hearing my baby cry. I just put the receiver somewhere in my field of vision and the lights will alert me if she cries. I highly recommend it.

My opinion, Apr 23, 2023 I registered for one of these monitors and received 3. None of them worked in my home, it wasn't just one that didnt' work. In my opinion you have to try out a couple before you end up with one that works for your needs and home. After 3 different ones, I ended up with the high end Sony model and it has rechargeable batteries. I liked that best...

I HATE THIS MONITOR!!!!, Apr 19, 2023 This monitor is horrible. It's unbelievably noisy. If you get it near a microwave it sounds as if you are playing a video game. It has no range, I plugged the base in by the front door since the baby was in the livingroom with my sister and walked across the street with the reciever and I couldnt hear anything at all. Unfortunately, my husband damaged the reciever so I couldn't return it. I have my 14 year old sisters monitor which is just as old as she is and it works better than this model. I only gave this monitor 1 star because that was the lowest rating available.
