The best game expansion pack ever!!!, Feb 14, 2023 The Sims: Hot Date is without a doubt the best game expansion pack ever. Some people say that The Sims: Vacation is a better than hot date but they are wrong. First of all there are 125 new items on Hot date. Only 77 items on Vacation. There are many Pros and Cons about this game. _________________________________________________________________ Pros 1.Alot of new items/objects. There are new floors, windows, wallpapers, doors, trees, lights, tables and counters. There's even a lighted ceiling fan. 2.You get to create a whole different world(Downtown). 3.Get to expand the sims social life. Alot of the sims atitude depends on social activity. Cons 1.Takes a long time to load. 2.It could have more features. _________________________________________________________________ This is a must buy expansion pack!

Painting the Town Red..., Oct 27, 2023 I'll admit it, this was my first expansion pack ever, and because first impressions last longer, I was fascinated by it since I had no other Expansion Pack to compare it to at the time.
The Sims Hot Date is by far, the most creative expansion pack ever, followed by House Party and Superstar. I personally, use it to target Sims and create love triangles, the typical boy meets girl (and the other way around as well).
The Sims Hot Date, by hearsay, is probably desired mainly to "invite" other sims home from a first date or a first time experience of hanging out with that sim. Just as in reality (hopefully), that move is far too quick and "smooth" and eventually the Sim'll just walk away in disgust which'll result in your relationship with them going down.
This expansion pack is probably the first ever to enable travelling to other lots where a lot of relations can be made between other sims. It's really helpful, especially if you've got the House Party expansion pack, and that'd truly be a night to remember, though I don't know whether Townies (non-neighbor sims) by default also arrive at the party, but special invitation i.e. using the phone that one extra time to invite them over'll do the trick.
I recommend the Sims Hot Date, it's pretty different, and I can't imagine my Sim life without it.

Great Expansion Pack!, Aug 13, 2023 This was a really good expansion pack! I love to take my Sims downtown. I really like how there are many different types of places to go to, unlike the Vacation EP, which has many places but really only 3 types of places. You also can edit the places you go to! There are also tons of new objects, walls, etc. that you can use in your Sims' homes, too. Your Sims can really get to know eachother well as there are tons of new options. My suggestions to make it better would be a faster loading time, the option to take more than one other person out, something that would make the Townies get out of the path of the cars, and it also gets kind of annoying that they come back to the house at the same time they left, but all their needs are different.

A must-have if you already have The Sims, Aug 11, 2023 The Sims: Hot Date is an expansion pack is a must-have if you own The Sims. With this pack you get access to a downtown are where you can buy clothes, eat at restaurants, and interact with other Sims called "Townies". You also get more furniture, wallpaper, and appliance choices to decorate your house with. If you are creating a Sim, you'll notice that there are some more head and clothing choices. The best part, however, is that you get more social interactions. In the basic game, for example, you're limited to only kissing another Sim. With the Hot Date expansion pack, you can kiss a Sim in several different ways--kiss, peck, polite, suave, passionate, romantic, and (my favorite, but use with caution--it may risk relationship points if done to the wrong Sim) fiery. Another thing that affects relationship points is that your Sims now have interests. Some might be interested in music, technology, or romance while some may not have any interests at all.
The only bad part, you ask? Going to the downtown area takes forever to load. I'm usually stuck staring at the red screen with a picture of a cab for 5 minutes. Plus, there are a few bugs in the game. Sometimes the "Townies" will stand in the middle of the street and hold up traffic, which is a pain when you're waiting for a cab.
The Sims: Hot Date is a must-have for having even more fun playing The Sims.
