Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com In Little Nicky, Adam Sandler plays the sweetest of three sons of Satan (Harvey Keitel), who's got to go to Earth and retrieve his nasty, power-hungry brothers lest they take over Hell and make it a thoroughly evil place. As with Sandler's other films, this weird premise (based oh-so-loosely on King Lear) is just an excuse to trot out a hodgepodge of comic bits and cameo performances. Admittedly, a lot of the jokes don't work (there was no need to repeat the one about shoving a pineapple up Hitler's ass), but the ones that do tend to be more memorable than the ones that don't, making for a pretty funny movie, when all is said and done. Sure, it's hard to overcome Sandler's speech impediment du jour, not to mention that romantic subplot with Patricia Arquette, but it can be done by focusing on the brilliant cameos by Regis Philbin, Reese Witherspoon, Ozzy Osbourne, and Henry Winkler (especially when he's covered with bees), as well as one of the funniest uses of a scene from De Palma's Scarface in years. Supporting Sandler throughout are two very funny heavy metal disciples and a bulldog named Beefy (voiced by Robert Smigel, the man behind Triumph the Insult Comic Dog). And, in an almost unrecognizable cameo, that's Clint Howard as the cross-dressing fetishist named "Nipples." --Andy Spletzer Description Adam Sandler is Little Nicky, a shy and awkward guy with a penchant for heavy metal music and two bullies for older brothers. And another thing .... Little Nicky is the son of the Devil and lives in Hell. Also stars Patricia Arquette and Harvey Keitel. |

Funny as hell, when you're down, watch this, May 9, 2023 I'm aware that most would say Little Nicky was not that good, or cheesy cheesy cheesy, or stupid, when it's really not. It will still make you laugh. It makes me laugh alot when it's on tv, and yes it's a bit corny, but there is bad corny and funny corny. This is funny corny. I mean come on, the part when the demons are rolling the big big bucket of chiken and the classic 80's hit is playing, "HERE I AM, dada dada da da da da ROCKED YOU LIKE A HURRICANE" lol, It's hilarious. Even though there wasn't a lot of intellect put into it, it's simple, and alot of fun and giggles. And I'm sure any fan of adam sandler and his friends, liked this movie like I do.

"Release the Good, Release the Awesome!", May 8, 2023 Definitely a good comedy, Little Nicky, brings to the screen the story of the devil's youngest son, who travels to Earth in search of his two older brothers who are responsible for his father's ongoing decomposition and eventual death. Things become a bit more complicated since little Nicky is not "all evil..." Adam Sandler, Harvey Keitel, Reese Witherspoon, and the rest of the cast, have outdone themselves with their performances, which are exceptional to say the least. All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows! Very well written and very well presented, the movie is without a doubt guaranteed to provide more than just a few laughs. The setting, the plot, the dialogues, the humor, and the music are all wonderful! In short, Little Nicky is a movie worth watching and even though it is not quite as good as the Waterboy or the Wedding Singer, it is definitely a keeper! 4½ Stars

Um...Okay , Mar 29, 2023 If anyone honestly expected much from this film, then you deserve whet you get. While I honestly think the premise, Satan's son comes to earth, is funny, it is an Adam Sandler film and his character look like a freak. Actually, Sandler's appearance in this film is so distracting I think the movie might have actually been better if he had just looked normal. But there are good aspects of the movie. Great aspects of the movie. I love Harvey Keitel right up to his little horns- he is Lucifer. I could do without Rodney Dangerfield becaise I think he is dumb. Ozzie Osborne is awesome in it and his role is crucial. Kevin Nealon is funny with a breast on his head, Dana Carvey makes a much needed movie appearance Reese Witherspoon looks great after having her kid and best of all, Quentin Tarantino is in this movie and he rocks. Clint Howard, Ron's br other, s also in this, which is great because he cracks me up.
Essentially, the movie is okay. But not for $8.25. Wait two weeks and see in at the cheap theatres!

Oh my, this movie is terrible, Feb 21, 2023 Adam Sandler's acting in this movie is absolutely the worst I've ever seen. He plays one of three sons of Satan. The one who's shy, a half-wit, too nice, and has a speech impediment because he was hit in the face by a shovel. It's that last bit, the shovel to the face, that's hard to watch. Sandler can't act much under normal conditions. Add in the fact he's got to contort his face to talk out of one side of his mouth so he sounds like a hoarse Peter Falk is absolutely hopeless. No, it's plain painful!
The budget for the film must have been exhausted by the star-studded cast because hell looks like an off-Broadway set and the rest is shot on location often on sidewalks with a hand-held camera. Oh, I forgot the talking dog who blows the FX budget. Though, I shouldn't complain. The dog's the funniest actor in the movie. No, the dog's the ONLY funny actor in the movie. Sad, that.
The plot? Nikki's brothers are miffed daddy wants to rule in hell another 10,000 years rather than pass the honor to them. So they leave hell to corrupt Earth. In doing this, they shut down the gates of hell and body pieces start falling off of Harvey Kietel, Satan, as he dies. So hopeless son Nicky (Sandler) must bring back this brothers to reopen the gates. Actually, the plot might have potential. Unfortunately, the script, to be charitable, sucks eggs. What were the people who put this ugly mess together thinking?
Watching Little Nicky is... uhhh... hell. I mean, how do the producers of this movie get away with it? Torture like this is long banned by international law. Bad humor might be forgiven but repeating it over and over again is just mean. Repeatedly he gets hit by a car or train and ends back in hell asking the demons to pretend they didn't see it. Repeatedly he jokes he's "from the South, the deep South".
My advice? Don't buy it. Don't rent it. Don't even waste precious time out of your life to watch it for free on cable. You'll wish you had those minutes back.

HILARIOUS!!!, Feb 18, 2023 This movie has to be my favorite Adam Sandler movie!!! First, I saw this movie on Fox 2. Even on a channel where they cut everything out its absaloutly HILARIOUS!!! Then I bought it at a Blockbuster. EVEN MORE HILARIOUS!!!
Little Nicky (Adam Sandler)has to get back to earth to catch his brothers because they escaped from hell. Nicky has other things to wory about then just catching his brothers. While Nicky is on earth, his father, the devil (Harvey Keitel) is falling abart. On earth, Nicky Makes some crazy friends (Allen Covert, Jonathan Loughran, and Peter Dente). Nicky meets a woman (Patricia Arquette) while he tries to get his stolen silver flask. Nicky has to hurry to get home before the death of his father, Satan.
Anyway, I highley recommend this item to everybody who takes a look at it on Amazon.com!!!
