Editorial Reviews:
Book Description "Antonia is a "priss," Jazz is a "punk." Antonia belongs to the math club. Jazz hangs out at the tattoo parlor. Antonia's parents are divorced and her mother struggles to pay the rent. Jazz is from a traditional family and lives in a mansion with a pool. But when these two very different girls find themselves facing each other in a peer-counseling program, they discover they have some surprising things in common. Alternately hilarious and heart-wrenching, this is an absorbing read that will keep audiences thinking and laughing." |

My Review for "Define 'Normal'", Jun 16, 2023 I enjoyed reading "Define 'Normal'" very much. I found it to be an excellent book because I can relate all too well to both Antonia and Jazz. In this story it clearly shows how it is sometimes hard to accept a reaching hand and how sometimes you just want to take care of things on your own. Still, it shows the power of friendship and how much friends can help us, and how friendship can be found in the most unexpected places. I've re-read this book many times from the local library, and have come to decide to buy my own hardcover copy of it. Love this book, awesome read.

Define "Normal", Jun 14, 2023 I really enjoyed Define "Normal" because it tells you that not everything is as it seems. When you first hear about Antonita, you see her as a perfect girl who has everything. Sher gets straight A's, and you would think that she has a perfect family but not all of that is true. Then when you meet Jazz you see her as a punk who probably has parents that are alcoholics and drug addicts, but what I liked about this book was that Jazz and Tone's life, they way you would expect it to be is opposite. Tone is the one with the alcoholic mother and no father while Jazz has two parents living in a huge mansion. One main thing I learned from reading this book was that anyone can help anyone, like Jazz was acctaully helping Tone instead of the other way around. What I really enjoyed from this novel was the fact that two totally different people were able to help each other out when nobody else could help them.

It Really Helped Me, Being A Punk-Rocker and Having Problems, May 28, 2023 Kids at school give me problems since I'm the only Punker in the school. They say Im goth and it drives me crazy saying Im a problem and should stay out of school. And one day for me I find a girl who looks the opposite and turns out is exactly like me. I really relate to Jazz and for the rest of the Punkers and Preps, this book helps!!
A+
