 A Big Leap from RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, Sep 9, 2023
I have experienced RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2. The RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 wasn't a big leap from the first RollerCoaster Tycoon. I can say that RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is disappointing. It has lots of new rides, attraction, theme, and so on; but no improvement on game play, sound, and graphics.
But when RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 came out to the market, I tried that and it is really has differences! RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 comes with 3D engine graphics; allowing you to zoom in and out easily, rotate and choose any view-angle. New and intuitive gameplay, and it is user-friendly. It took me a few minutes to discover the features and functionality on the game panel. :-)
I would recommend this game for those who like Tycoon/Sims games, the previous RollerCoaster Tycoon players, and anybody who is dreaming of owning, managing, and building his/her own dreamland and its roller coasters.

There are way better games out there than this one. If you're looking for a game where you don't have to keep up the park rating, or manage you're annoying staff, then here are some other games you may be interested in:
1. No Limits Rollercoaster Simulator
2. Ultimate Ride Simulator
In these games, you don't have to worry about funds, or anything. Just simply building and riding roller coasters. This game looks really good in the previews, but don't buy it unless you can really like riding roller coasters.

It's glitchy.
These are the glithces I expirenced:
Flashing shadows (wtf?)
Shutdown while trying to design a peep
Navigation getting stuck
It's confusing and difficult.
It's nearly impossible to build a simple path from an exit. It is harder to design a path on RCT3 than to make one in real life out of sand paper and loogies.
However- I really loved many of the concepts, but it just didin't work in this kind of a format- I can do without the 3D graphics (which really aren't that great.) and 360 Navigation (which really isint necescary.)
Coastercam is great, though. When I started playing RCT3, after much mouth dropping, hair pulling and keyboard smashing, it was nice to just ride around in rollar coasters.
Fireworks are cool, too.
Spend your money on any of the older Roller Coaster Tycoon games, especilly the classic first one with it's two expansion packs Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes.

I own all the Rollercoaster tycoons and all the addon's
Rollercoaster 3 tycoon is the worst game I have EVER purchased.
I bought the Soaked addon at the same time. What a waste...
I'm going to uninstall and going back to RC2 much better....

Cut to the chase, the fun wears off pretty quick. You want to build a park, but all you get to do is build bathrooms. You eventually spend 80-90% of your playing time dealing with pain in the butt janitors and mechanics who never do thier work, if you assign them an area they either become immediatly bored and quit or wander off. They should rename this Puke-Tycoon, NOBODY throws up as much as these peeps. Yes you can watch from any angle, cool for a while, but it just means now you can watch your janitors quit from any angle, peeps not go on rides from any angle, ride break down from any angle. Its a pain in the neck from any angle! YAY! A quick solution would be to allow the player to decide how much micro-managing he/she wants. I buy these games to build parks not pick how much ketchup to put on the hot-dogs. The tedious nature of these tasks really takes away from the excellent graphics, cool atmosphere, and great music, although volume levels are hard to regulate, overlap(two songs at the same time) is terribly annoying. The themes and rides are really cool but you never get to enjoy them. You become to busy being the Condiment-Puke-Tycoon.
