Barbie bats one for the New York Yankees--America's most successful baseball franchise. Wearing the team's signature vertical blue-striped uniform, Barbie appears all set for the big game. Featuring a black belt and easy-snap buttons, the uniform is easier to take off than put on, but it's definitely cool enough to endure the dressing process. Barbie wears a cropped sport T-shirt underneath her stripes, and an authentically designed satin Yankees baseball jacket over all. Holding down her single braid is a bona fide Yankees logo baseball hat, which is terribly cute. Black sneakers and a right-handed baseball glove complete her athletic ensemble. This battin' Barbie also comes with a doll-sized, wooden Louisville Slugger baseball bat and a tiny Rawlings baseball. To facilitate baseball action movements, Barbie's elbows and knees are jointed, and her hands can accommodate the baseball glove and bat. --Diane Beall |

 No surprise, Barbie looks good in Yankee pinstripes, Apr 27, 2023
How much fun is this toy? I had a bobble-head Yankee figure during the late Sixties and banging that big old head was just an invitation for disaster (it cracked). Now, while I admit that Barbie is a distorted human figure in other regards, she is an American icon, and while I was tempted by the "My Fair Lady" Barbie figures this is the first one that really called to me. It might have something to do with being a Yankee fan and having all of their Topps baseball cards from the year I was born.How would you rate this toy's educational value? Well, I guess I learned that Barbie looks good in pinstripes, but I still feel weak on my knowledge of Yankee teams during World War II when a lot of the key players were in the service. I also have trouble with the idea of Barbie being an educational toy. How durable is this toy? Nobody is touching Barbie. Hands off. Do not touch my doll. It is when you try to put the bat in her hands or get her to toss that little baseball around that you are flat out asking for big time trouble, boys and girls.

Yes, I purchased this New York Yankee Barbie for my husband! He's an avid New York Yankee Fan and collects sports memorabilia. He has placed her on his Sports Memorabilia shelf with the rest of his Yankee memorabilia. He grew up watching the New York Yankees and his favorite ball player of all time, Mickey Mantle. You can't go wrong if you have a big kid like I do, or a small kid who loves Barbie and the World Famous New York Yankees!

The New York Yankees Barbie doll is about as cool as they come. I am a diehard yankee fan and I absolutely love this barbie. I would definately recommend it to every single New York Yankees fan. I might just by more of them for people that I know.

This is the most horrible toy you can possibly buy for a child. What with all the uproar over Barbie's self-esteem destructing habits, I guess they figured that they could disguise her grossly disproportionate features with a sports costume. Let's face it. Women will never get into major league baseball, sad as it is, and this is just a major hypocritical farse in terms of representative value. Go get your girl a baseball bat if you want to teach her to be a team player.

A Must For Female Yankees Fans!, Sep 30, 2023
I ordered the New York Yankees Barbie through the mail, and the first time I removed her from the box, I cried. She is so beautiful, and she is wearing the best uniform in major league sports: the classic Yankees pinstripe logo. This collectible incorporates two of my favorite interests in my life: Barbie and The New York Yankees. Playing with Barbie made me happy as a child, and watching the Yankees play has brought me joy during some very tough times in my adult life. This doll is a must for any female Yankees fan, and would be a wonderful treat for any little girl whose parents want to encourage an interest in this finest of sports franchises.
